UWE WRFC are a friendly and thriving rugby club. We welcome players of all abilities, so if you have never picked up a rugby ball before, don't worry! New members are always very welcome to come along and join in, whether to train, to play competitively, or simply for the socials!

We have had an extremely successful season this year, winning all of the matches we played, finishing with a points difference of over 450 and with only 48 points scored against us.

On top of this achievement, we have also won the BUSA Shield trophy, and have been promoted into BUSA Western League 1A. In our final match of the season, the annual Varsity match between UWE and Bristol University, we secured victory for the second year running whilst playing before almost 3,000 spectators. Four of our players this season have been selected to play for the South West Regional squad, with a further three players as reserves. In addition to this, in 2007/2008 we had one Super League representative, two Bath Women's Rugby players, a Royal Navy representative and an ex-Welsh international player, demonstrating the talent and ability of the squad.
